RALLY IN ONE WORD: FUN

Rally is an exciting new sport that was created to promote FUN and a whole new bonding experience between dogs and their people.  It can best be described as a combination of Agility and Obedience.  It's can be done for fun but it's also an AKC titling event.  The titles offered at each level are: Rally Novice (RN), Rally Advanced (RA) and Rally Excellent (RE).  The objective of Rally is for the dog and handler team to move through a course of 10-20 exercises.  At each numbered sign the team performs the indicated task before moving on to the next sign.  The handler is encouraged to give both verbal and hand signals; severe verbal or leash corrections are not accepted.  Each team is scored on their completion of the course.  Perfect heel position is not required but a loose leash is required at all times.
